MacLaren Momentum, Account Supervisor – June, 2011 – Present
In the Momentum division of MacLaren McCann – I create social media content to support General Motors sponsored events. Creating social media programs and branded content around Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac. I work with an amazingly talented and creative team where I suggest ways social media content can be leveraged to create pre-buzz around events, drive registrations, and extend the life of events on dedicated branded sites and social sharing networks.

HomeSav Social Media Manager – December, 2010 – June, 2011
Recently called, “The Groupon of Home Decor!” by HGTV, HomeSav is Canada’s first daily deal ecommerce site devoted to offering luxury home product brands with deep discounts off retail. I manage a team building a wide footprint for the brand online and organically growing the community. Designed and developed LivSavvy.com – the HomeSav blog that is the editorial heart of the social media campaign. Developed and implemented twitter dashboard strategy. Redesigned the facebook fan page. Implementing a blogger outreach program and building relationships with complimentary sites. Work closely with graphic designer to help creatively direct the look of the HomeSav brand

Chevrolet On Scene Social Media Program (for Maclaren Momentum agency) October, 2010 – Present
Created social media content (daily tweets, blog, photos, and video) in connection with various Chevrolet Cruze launch events. Managed and monitored the campaign through a custom social media dashboard I designed in Wordpress. Provided a detailed spreadsheet report on awareness and engagement metrics related to the Chevrolet On Scene social media channels.

Currently consulting with MacLaren Momentum team on Chevrolet social media strategy and coordination in conjunction with various events across Canada in 2011, including GLEE tour, Transformers campaign, and other sponsored events.

Cadillac Festival Insider (for Maclaren Momentum agency) July – September, 2010 (and 2009) I acted as the Cadillac Festival Insider in a social media and content marketing project for Toronto Film Festival sponsor Cadillac and General Motors.

I blogged over fifty posts on Festivalinsider.ca and managed the @FestivalInsider Twitter account. During the two month campaign, the Twitter account gained an additional 1,200 followers, hundreds of exclusive photos where shot and uploaded to twitPic and Flickr which saw tens of thousands of views during the campaign.

Also created a series of hosted YouTube videos, branded under Cadillac Festival Insider which exposed the viewer to an insiders view of the Toronto Film Festival. A few of the videos even went a little viral.

I consulted with Maclaren Momentum technical people regarding blog design, SEO, and issues related to server security and plug-in recommendations on the Wordpress managed blog.

Delivered a comprehensive spreadsheet report of social media analytics indicating key performance metrics of social media play and engagement across the chosen channels.

KayvonTV.com – multi platform reality show May, 2007 – Dec, 2009
Principal creator of KayvonTV.com – an online comedy, variety, and interview show starring media personality Kayvon Zahedi. Help to manage popular YouTube channel which has seen millions of video views and thousands of comments cumulatively for KayvonTV videos.

Negotiated a contract with digital cable station AUX.TV for a feature-length version of KayvonTV which a ten episode season 1 premieres in March, 2010

Planned, coordinated, and executed comprehensive online marketing and publicity campaigns with social networking sites Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter resulting in a vibrant online community and discussion around KayvonTV videos. I Designed the KayvonTV brand – including logo, graphics, and photo galleries at KayvonTV.com. Managed programmers and customized the HTML/CSS code.

HoundsTV Productions (documentary producer, writer) 2003 – 2010
Editorially manage HoundsTV.com – a news powered e-commerce site for collectibles. Design and developed the site on wordpress CMS and customized the HTML/CSS code for the new theme. Widened the editorial focus beyond entertainment news to include tech, media, and sports stories.

Toronto Rap Project (2006) Directed and edited this documentary. The film would play in numerous film festivals to critical acclaim and would go on to capture the Audience and National Film Board (NFB) Best Documentary awards at the 2006 Reel World Film Festival.

HoundsTV – The Series (2003 – 2004) I conceived, directed, and edited the television documentary series HOUNDS which was co-produced and broadcast by LIFE network in Canada. All post-production work, including graphics and sound mix was done at Alliance Atlantis studios in Toronto. I coordinated a media campaign with the Alliance Atlantis publicity department which resulted in feature articles in the major Toronto newspapers. Created, designed, and developed content for the HoundsTV.com website.

Sports Mint (owner/operator, retail sports memorabilia & apparel store) 1992 – 2000
Co-founded Sports Mint while in high school which began with trade show sales of sports cards and cumulated with a wholesale / retail operation in Yorkdale mall and on Yorkville ave. in Toronto. Designed the Sports Mint logo and first SportsMint.com website. Managed inventory, direct mail sales campaign, and customer service in the retail operations of the downtown Toronto store. Further managed bookkeeping and banking operations. Sports Mint was a principal in organizing and sponsoring a 1997 Toronto Maple Leafs charity Gala that brought together on the 30th anniversary of Toronto’s last Stanley Cup – all members of the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs winning team.
